This weeks delightful picture!
Genre/Adventure (105 words)
“Come on Jen! We need to keep climbing!”
“I can’t Mike. There’s too many steps, I just can’t do it!”
“I won’t let you give up! Now get your ass moving!” Grabbing Jen, Mike pulled her up the stairs. The loud clumping of boots below pushed them even faster.
Upward they went. Breathing hard, hearts pounding. Reaching the top they ran to the railing, the trees were tiny from such a distance. Climbing up, they held hands and jumped as the boots behind them reached the last step.
The soldiers looked over the railing and saw the parachutes as they gracefully dropped them to safety.

ohhhh…who were they running from?
from the military of a foreign country because they stole something from them. ….lol…how’s that for making it up on the fly?
ahhhhh….very good
I love the suspense!
Thanks! hard to build up in so few words…
Don’t we all have times when we could use a parachute? Good story.
oh yes, imaginary or not. Thanks for reading

Thank you! appreciate you reading
For some reason, I knew they were going to jump, but knowing you the way I do, I thought they would just jump. So happy to read they had parachutes.
Very good, Jackie.
Well I did at first think of them just jumping. But then I thought that would be too final! ha. Thanks Maddie!
It was nice not to have them jumping to their deaths and have the surprise be on the soldiers. Hopefully they’ll get away from any other soldiers, too.
janet
I think they will get clean away. Thanks Janet
Clever plan! I like it, Jackie! Great story for the beautiful staircase. It does seem full of intrigue.

Nice story! I can just see them floating to the bottom – let’s hope none of those soldiers have any parachutes

Ah, base jumping. A good way to get away, although parachutes are rather trackable! There are a lot of people escaping up these stairs, I’m glad yours had an exit plan for when they reached the top
never underestimate a good plan of action.
